This is it!!! Finally!!
We left yesterday morning from Brussels Airport. It was an emotional departure with all the text messages I got, the phone calls I got and of course my mom and I were crying at the passport control.
My bag's weight is about 13.5 kg for 6 months! Yacine's bags is about 11kg ... for 1 month J
We had a 6 hour flight from Brussels to Abu Dhabi with a smelly, stupid guy in front of us and then a 7 hour flight to Beijing. We saw a few movies on the plane and of course I slept a bit.
This morning we arrived at 9 o'clock local time (3am) and took a cab to our guesthouse ... and yes, Chinese people already tried to rip us off.
Now we're waiting for our room, deciding what we will have for lunch and what we're going to do the next few days.
Bad news: Facebook is blocked here in China!!!!! And I'm such an addict

Dag mijne kleine schat! Wat leuk dat je mij nu al een berichtje hebt gestuurd op mijn blog. Ik ben ondertussen aangekomen in China. Ik heb hier nog geen vrienden gemaakt want voorlopig heb ik enkel op het vliegtuig gezeten. Daar heb ik naar een film gekeken en ik heb geprobeerd een beetje te slapen. De airhostessen waren wel héél vriendelijk. Zaterdag gaan we waarschijnlijk naar de Chineze muur, weet je nog? De langste muur van de wereld !!!!! Dikke knuffel!

Lieve Nadine,
Ik ben blij dat je jouw blog met je pen gaat schrijven ( ...ik kan jullie nu reeds verklappen dat er niet veel tekst zal verschijnen want ik heb niet zo'n vlotte pen...) en niet met je tong anders stond iedereen zijn harde schijf nu al vol ... ;-).
Ik voeg me bij de rest van de vriendenkring met je geluk toe te wensen en je proficiat te wensen dat je dit aandurft al heb je al bewezen dat je dit aankan!
Bart en Chrisje vertrekken dinsdag maar zij doen eerst Australie en Nieuw Zeeland aan om daarna naar het Verre Oosten aan te trekken. Ik bezorg je hun blog-adres nog wel eens.
